DTI Cotabato Holds 2025 S.U.P.E.R. Consumer Quiz Show

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Cotabato Provincial Office successfully conducted the 2025 Provincial S.U.P.E.R. Consumer Quiz Show held on October 16, 2025 at Gaisano Grand Mall, Lanao, Kidapawan City,in celebration of Consumer Welfare Month. The event, held at the Activity Area of Gaisano Grand Mall Kidapawan, brought together 49 junior high school students from various municipalities across Cotabato Province.

The competition tested students’ knowledge of RA 7394 (Consumer Act of the Philippines), Fair Trade Laws, and other consumer protection policies. In his opening message, DC Federico C. Ealdama emphasized that the quiz show promotes a generation of consumers who are Sustainable, Upbeat, Protected, Empowered, and Responsible — truly S.U.P.E.R. consumers.

Board Member Ivy Dalumpines-Balitoc, representing Governor Emmylou “Lala” Taliño-Mendoza, also expressed support, highlighting the crucial role of the youth in advancing consumer awareness and responsible marketplace practices.

After threE competitive rounds, Matalam High School, Kidapawan City National High School, and M’lang National High School emerged as the Top 3 winners and will represent Cotabato Province in the upcoming Regional S.U.P.E.R. Consumer Quiz Show in Koronadal City.

The annual S.U.P.E.R. Consumer Quiz is one of DTI’s key advocacy programs held nationwide every October, promoting consumer protection and responsible trade in line with Presidential Proclamation No. 1098.

The event concluded with an awarding ceremony honoring the top winners and participating schools for their commitment to consumer empowerment and awareness.
