NDMC Celebrates Mindanao Week of Peace 2025
Notre Dame of Midsayap College (NDMC) launched the Mindanao Week of Peace 2025 on November 27, 2025, at the NDMC Gymnasium, bringing together administrators, faculty, staff, and students to promote peace, harmony, and justice in Mindanao. The symposium featured interfaith prayers, the singing of the National Anthem and school hymns, and a welcome address by Fr. Ramon Maria G. Bernabe, OMI, emphasizing the role of education in fostering dialogue and understanding.
Activities during the week included an On-the-Spot Painting Contest, Electronic Poster Making, and Slogan Making Contests, culminating on December 5, 2025, with a Holy Mass and awarding ceremony recognizing participants’ achievements. Peace songs were played throughout the week to inspire reflection and unity.
The celebration reinforced the importance of multi-faith engagement, everyday actions, and the formation of values in peace-building. Moving forward, NDMC will continue to integrate peace education in classrooms and encourage student-led advocacy to sustain the spirit of harmony and social cohesion within the community.
