NDMC Faculty Attend 35th COMEPP National Conference in Iloilo City
Faculty representatives from the College of Business Administration of Notre Dame of Midsayap College participated in the 35th National Conference of the Council of Management Educators and Professionals in the Philippines (COMEPP) held from November 12–14, 2025, at the Iloilo Grand Hotel, Iloilo City. Anchored on the theme “Leadership and Management Sustainability: Strategies for Success in a Rapidly Changing World of Business,” the national event gathered educators, researchers, and business professionals committed to strengthening leadership and management practices in a dynamic global environment.
The three-day program formally opened with a Holy Eucharistic Mass, followed by inspirational messages from COMEPP officials and academic leaders. The keynote address delivered by Rev. Fr. Rafael B. Pecson, OAR, emphasized adaptive leadership, ethical decision-making, and innovation as key competencies needed to navigate today’s evolving business landscape. Delegates were also welcomed by institutional leaders who underscored the significance of integrating sustainability and purpose-driven leadership in higher education.
Throughout the conference, participants engaged in a series of technical sessions covering critical topics in leadership, research, and management. Dr. Rogelio P. Bayod discussed sustainable leadership anchored on the “Three Ps: Purpose, Pivot, and People,” while Dr. John Erwin Prado Pedroso highlighted intelligent and ethical approaches to writing and publication. Additional sessions deepened participants’ understanding of talent development, social media’s role in political engagement, and teachers’ partnership in supporting students’ mental wellness. These discussions provided research-based strategies and practical insights for academic and institutional advancement.
The conference also featured competitions in research, business innovation, and communication, offering participants opportunities to showcase their expertise. Events such as quiz bee, business pitch, video advertisement, abstract competitions, and professional research presentations strengthened collaboration and excellence across participating schools. The culminating program recognized outgoing officers, inducted new leaders, and concluded with awarding ceremonies and raffle draws.
