NDMC Holds Debate Seminar and Workshop for SIDLAK 2025
On August 15, 2025, the Supreme Student Government’s Socio-Academic Committee conducted a Debate Seminar and Workshop at the Primera Function Hall to prepare departmental representatives for the upcoming SIDLAK 2025 Debate Competition.
Ms. Sittie Kryslim B. Fadera, LPT, introduced participants to the Asian Parliamentary Debate format, explaining key concepts and guiding them through a short debate simulation. First-time debaters gained valuable insights, while all participants improved their skills, teamwork, and confidence—something Ms. Fadera noted when she later served as an adjudicator during the competition.
The activity not only sharpened debating techniques but also encouraged collaboration among students from different departments. NDMC aims to provide more platforms to discover and develop students’ potential in debate and public speaking.
