NDMC Public Administration Faculty Joins 2025 PSPA–EROPA Joint International Conference
The Bachelor of Public Administration Faculty of Notre Dame of Midsayap College attended the 2025 PSPA–EROPA Joint International Conference held on October 1–3, 2025, at the University of the Philippines, Tacloban.
With the theme “Public Administration in the Age of Populism, Polycrisis, and Technological Transformation: Dilemmas, Dynamics, and Directions,” the event brought together public administration experts, researchers, and government leaders from across the world to discuss emerging challenges and innovations in governance.
The conference featured plenary and thematic sessions on topics such as public sector transformation, local governance innovations, and the role of education and research in promoting transparency and accountability. It also emphasized the importance of ethical leadership, citizen participation, and technology-driven governance in building responsive institutions.
In his keynote speech, DSG Sofonias Gabonada Jr. highlighted the importance of sustainability, resilience, and inclusivity in public administration. A quote from Dr. Don Eliseo Lucero-Prisno III resonated with the participants:
“Governance is both an art and a science. It calls us to lead with both head and heart.”
The NDMC Public Administration Faculty aims to integrate the key insights from the conference into instruction, research, and community extension—promoting innovative governance, participatory decision-making and sustainable development at the local level.
