NDMC Registrars Join ARSCU XII 23rd Annual Convention on Digitization and Education
NDMC registrars participated in the ARSCU XII 23rd Annual Convention held on October 9–10, 2025, at Green Leaf Hotel, General Santos City. With the theme “Future Ready: Registrars at the Intersection of Digitization and Education,” the two-day gathering brought together professionals from various educational institutions to deepen their understanding of emerging digital trends, legal updates, and essential competencies in registrar services.
The convention opened with a session on integrating artificial intelligence in education, led by Ms. Lorelyn F. Adrales, who emphasized how AI can streamline processes such as enrollment, student support, and data management. This was followed by Mr. Carmelo H. Enriquez’s discussion on financial management and literacy, which highlighted effective budgeting, office financial stewardship, and the need for personal financial responsibility among registrars.
On the second day, Atty. Tanjili Faisal, Dean of the NDMU College of Law, delivered an extensive lecture on legal issues surrounding records management, focusing on data privacy, records retention standards, and institutional compliance. The event concluded with a plenary session presenting updates from PSA, TESDA, PRC, DepEd, and CHED, ensuring participants remained aligned with national policies and upcoming regulatory changes.
Participants noted that the sessions reinforced the evolving role of registrars as key contributors in digital transformation, inter-agency coordination, and policy compliance. The learnings also emphasized the need to adopt innovative tools, strengthen financial competence, and uphold legal standards in managing academic records.
