Serepungan Writeshop Continues
The Serepungan writers have once again gathered for this two-day writeshop, in a spirit of dedication and cultural preservation to continue working on a series of articles set for publication. This collaborative effort marks another milestone in the ongoing journey of the Serepungan Project — a vital initiative aimed at documenting and celebrating the rich heritage of the Derepuwanen ne Menuvu tribe of Sitio Pangipasan.
Spearheaded by the Research and Development Center of Notre Dame of Midsayap College, in partnership with the University of the Philippines-Diliman and the Oblates of Mary Immaculate—Pangipasan Community, the Serepungan Project continues to evolve as a testament to the power of community-based research and meaningful collaboration.
This writeshop is both a time for writing and reflection — an opportunity to refine narratives, validate collected data, and ensure the authenticity and accuracy of each cultural account. Through this endeavor, the writers reaffirm their shared commitment to ethically preserve the Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Practices (IKSP).
