NDMC CCJE Strengthens Curriculum Design Through Faculty Seminar

The College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) of Notre Dame of Midsayap College conducted a one-day seminar titled “Enhancing Curriculum through Effective Table of Specification and Syllabi-Making” on August 6, 2025, at the CCJE Laboratory. Led by Dr. Melvie F. Bayog, PhD, RCrim and Irish Mae C. Loreña, RCrim, the training gathered the dean, program head, and faculty to improve instructional design and assessment practices.

The seminar focused on creating reliable Tables of Specification (TOS), developing outcome-based syllabi, and aligning lessons and assessments with CHED standards. Faculty members engaged in a hands-on workshop drafting syllabi for Criminology and Forensic programs, ensuring that learning outcomes, content, and evaluation tools work together coherently.

This initiative reinforces NDMC’s commitment to Quality Education (SDG 4) by equipping educators with practical tools for curriculum alignment and continuous improvement. Participants recommended regular workshops, peer review sessions, and institutionalized training to sustain curriculum excellence.
