Supreme Student Government (LSG & SSG) Election

Notre Dame of Midsayap College (NDMC) successfully conducted the Local and Supreme Student Government (LSG & SSG) Election 2025 on July 10, 2025, with 1,233 voters participating across six departments—CAS, CBA, CCJE, CED, CITE, and CN. The election, managed manually using ballot forms, was facilitated by COMELEC Commissioners and volunteers to ensure fairness, transparency, and efficiency. Voting began at 7:00 AM and ended at 4:50 PM, followed by canvassing at BACCOM Lab, which concluded after one hour and 29 minutes of verification and tabulation.

Results showed strong student engagement across departments. In CBA, Barbie P. Lavarete and Hamel N. Niala emerged as Governor and Vice-Governor, respectively, while CCJE elected an independent slate with consistent voter support. CED chose Kryz Andrey L. Glimada as Governor with 142 votes, while CITE saw a clean sweep by the TECHKADA Party, each candidate earning around 150 votes. In CN, the LIWANAG Party secured the Governor seat, while the PULSE Party dominated the Vice-Governor, Secretary, and Treasurer positions.

The 2025 LSG & SSG Election upholds NDMC’s commitment to forming student leaders rooted in integrity, service, and the Damean core values. This initiative directly supports SDG 4: Quality Education by fostering leadership and civic engagement, and SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions by ensuring transparency and accountability in student governance. The COMELEC extends its gratitude to the students, faculty, and administrators who contributed to this successful democratic exercise.
