NDMC Joins International Conference on Peace Agreements and the Bangsamoro
The Notre Dame of Midsayap College (NDMC) joined the International Conference: After the Peace Agreements: The Bangsamoro and Beyond held on November 17–19, 2025, at Dusit Thani Manila, Makati City. Organized by the Institute of Autonomy and Governance (IAG), the three-day international conference gathered over 200 participants from government, civil society, academe, media, and international partners to discuss the implementation of peace agreements and strategies for effective governance in post-conflict settings.
NDMC representatives actively engaged in discussions on the progress, challenges, and future directions of the Bangsamoro peace process, contributing insights and learning from comparative experiences in other post-conflict regions worldwide. The conference featured plenary sessions, panel discussions, and breakout dialogues that allowed participants to explore practical solutions for institution-building, inclusive governance, and stakeholder collaboration.
The event emphasized the critical role of multi-sectoral engagement in ensuring that peace initiatives translate into tangible benefits for communities, particularly marginalized and conflict-affected populations. NDMC’s participation not only enriched the discussions but also provided its faculty and students with opportunities to deepen their understanding of transformative governance and the complexities of post-agreement peacebuilding. The conference reinforced NDMC’s commitment to academic excellence, social responsibility, and active involvement in initiatives that promote sustainable peace and social development.
