NDMC–IBED SHS Holds Family Day Celebration

The Senior High School (SHS) Family Day of Notre Dame of Midsayap College – Integrated Basic Education was successfully held on December 12, 2025, at the Bulwagang Genoveva Deles Jaranilla Gymnasium. With the theme “A Family Christmas: Celebrating Love, Unity, and Joy that Never Ends,” the activity highlighted the importance of family bonds, unity, and shared values within the school community.

The program began with participant registration, followed by a Paraliturgy led by Mr. Jovence Iman H. Gepanaga, LPT, which set a reflective, meaningful tone. The singing of the National Anthem, Midsayap Hymn, and Notre Dame March further strengthened school pride and unity.

Dr. Maria Theresa Tenorio, SHS PTA President, delivered the Opening Remarks, emphasizing the vital role of family involvement in education and the importance of love and unity in shaping learners. A Zumba activity led by students energized the participants and promoted wellness and active participation.

Parlor games and interactive activities, including the Question and Answer for Couples, encouraged teamwork, communication, and bonding among families. The Raffle Draw, featuring minor prizes and a Grand Raffle with household appliances, added excitement and joy to the celebration.

An audio-visual presentation entitled “Notre Dame, Our Mother” reminded the community of the school’s nurturing role and Marian identity. The program concluded with the Blessing of Foods and a shared lunch, symbolizing gratitude, fellowship, and unity.

Overall, the SHS Family Day was a successful celebration that strengthened family ties, promoted school spirit, and reflected the true essence of Christmas.
