NDMC Student Represents Midsayap in Division HistoPop Speak-Up Competition 2026
The Notre Dame of Midsayap College (NDMC) proudly participated in the Division HistoPop Festival of Talents 2026, held on January 28, 2026, at Capitol Rooftop. The event gathered top student representatives from 17 municipalities to compete in history-themed contests.
Representing Midsayap in the Speak Up! (Impromptu Speech) category was Mary Carynelle L. Sumera (ABM 11 – St. John Paul), coached by Ms. Kerstin Thea B. Catanyag, LPT. She earned her spot at the division level after winning first place during the municipal competition held at Dilangalen National High School on January 25, 2026.
Mary delivered her speech with confidence and insight, addressing topics on Gender and Development (GAD) and emphasizing the role of education in empowerment. Although she did not place in the Top 5, her performance reflected strong communication skills, courage, and preparation amid a highly competitive field.
The festival also featured other contests across grade levels, promoting historical awareness, critical thinking, and effective communication among learners.
NDMC commends Mary for her dedication and for proudly representing the institution. Her journey highlights the value of perseverance and serves as inspiration for future competitions.
