Notre Dame of Midsayap College (NDMC) hosted a symposium on February 10, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Bulwagang Genoveva Deles Jaranilla. The event focused on two significant pieces of Philippine legislation: Republic Act No. 11166, also known as the Philippine HIV and AIDS Policy Act, and Republic Act No. 11313, the Safe Spaces Act.
The symposium aimed to educate NDMC students on these critical laws, fostering a safer and more inclusive campus environment. The symposium featured two distinguished resource speakers: Sir Johnryl L. Francisco, RN, MOA, MBA, CHA, FPCHA, MANc, and Dr. Melvie F. Bayog, RCRIM, CST.
The symposium successfully raised awareness among students about the Philippine HIV and AIDS Policy Act and the Safe Spaces Act. It promoted a safe and respectful campus environment and provided students with the knowledge to protect themselves and others from discrimination and harassment.
