NDMC Strengthens Safety Awareness through Emergency Preparedness Orientation

To strengthen the institution’s safety measures and ensure readiness in times of natural disasters, Notre Dame of Midsayap College conducted an Emergency Preparedness Orientation for both College and IBED faculty on October 17, 2025, from 4:00 to 5:30 PM at the Primera Function Hall. The activity was hosted by the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, headed by Engr. Ronniel D. Labio, PCpE, DIT, who also gave the opening remarks and introduction.

The College of Nursing proudly represented Notre Dame of Midsayap College (NDMC) in the 8th Inter-Nursing School Battle of the Nightingale Quiz Bowl, held on August 20, 2025, at KCC Mall de Zamboanga.

BSN 4 students Xander Ryan V. Bongcawil, Shaira Mae H. Cabal, John Clarke D. Jamero, and Elvira V. Ismael competed against peers from other nursing schools, showcasing their knowledge in anatomy, patient care, nursing ethics, and critical thinking.

On August 16, 2025, Notre Dame of Midsayap College (NDMC) held a Parenting Seminar at the Bulwagang Genoveva Deles Jaranilla with the theme “Understanding the Teenage Brain: Why They Do, What They Do.”

Ms. Elnie D. Calunsag, RPsy, RPm, CHRA, served as the resource speaker and discussed how the teenage brain develops, the challenges adolescents face, and practical strategies for parents such as open communication, setting boundaries, and guiding responsible decision-making.

Grade School Department Holds PAGSINATI 2025: Sunshine Bash

The IBED Supreme Student Government (SSG) successfully facilitated PAGSINATI 2025: Sunshine Bash — the Grade School Department’s summer acquaintance party held on July 31, 2025, at the ETD Court of NDMC.

The half-day celebration featured prayers, inspirational messages, and exciting team-building games such as Find Your Beach Buddy, Lifeguard Simon Says, and Guess the Character. Students showcased their creativity in the Best Summer Outfit competition, adding a colorful highlight to the event.

To strengthen safety and disaster preparedness, the Integrated Basic Education Department (IBED) conducted a two-day training, “IBED Emergency Response 2025: Equipping Teachers and Staff in First Aid and Earthquake Safety,” on July 25–26, 2025. Sessions were held at Bulwagang Genoveva Deles Jaranilla (Day 1) and Primera Function Hall (Day 2), with active participation from Grade School, Junior High School, and Senior High School faculty and staff.

Notre Dame of Tacurong College, Sultan Kudarat – From July 7 to 9, 2025, Junior High School teacher Teresita G. Arellano, LPT, participated in the 2025 In-Service Training (INSET) for JHS Values Education Teachers sponsored by PEAC. The three-day seminar carried the theme “Designing, Facilitating, and Assessing Student Learning of the Revised K-10 Curriculum in Blended Learning Environments Amid Disruptions” and gathered private school educators from Region XII and BARMM.
