CBA Sports Fest: Where Champions Are Crowned and Memories Are Made
The CBA Sports Fest 2025, themed “Sigilla Vincunt: Bound by Strength, Driven by Legacy,” of the College of Business and Accountancy – Notre Dame of Midsayap College, officially commenced on August 5, 2025 (Day 1). Day 1 began with the presentation of participants by Barbie P. Lavarete (CBA-LSG Governor), the Sportsmanship Oath led by Alexander Lance Matavia (CBA-LSG Vice Governor for Sports), and the lighting of the torch as a symbol of a peaceful, friendly, and united event. The opening was formally declared by Mrs. Sarah Jane B. Orillosa, DBM. Excitement filled the air as the Agilas soared with energy while John Michael Gatchalian (CBA-LSG Vice Governor for External Affairs) led the Unity Dance. Following this, Mr. Dave Alvin P. Ladera (CBA-LSG Assistant Vice Governor for Sports) announced the game schedules. The competitions then commenced, featuring men’s and women’s volleyball, beach volleyball, chess, e-games, badminton (men and women), and flag stealing. On August 6, 2025 (Day 2), the sports activities continued, marking another day filled with fun, physical wellness, sportsmanship, camaraderie, and teamwork among the Agilas. The two-day CBA Sports Fest concluded with a celebratory awarding ceremony, wrapping up an event that successfully fostered camaraderie and sportsmanship. The final day stood as proof of the hard work and dedication of all participants, with the awarding of winners and certificates serving as a well-deserved recognition of their athletic achievements. Beyond the competitive spirit of the games, the event succeeded in its primary goal of strengthening bonds within the CBA community. As the closing remarks were delivered and photos captured, it was clear that the CBA Sports Fest was not just about the games played, but about the lasting memories and friendships created.
