On August 2–3, 2025, a Youth Leadership Summit was conducted by the Local Youth Development Office in collaboration with the 34th IB Philippine Army, the Sangguniang Kabataan Municipal Federation, and Midsayap Youth Volunteers. The event was held at the 34th IB Philippine Army Headquarters in Barangay Salunayan, Midsayap, North Cotabato.
It was a two-day event aimed at strengthening the relationship between the youth and uniformed personnel in Midsayap. The summit provided opportunities for the youth to interact, stay engaged, and become familiar with the operations and functions of our officers, particularly in Police Community Relations and Youth Participation in Peace Governance and Development.
On the first day, three sessions were conducted to instill knowledge among the youth: Mood Setting, Youth Participation in Peace Governance and Development, and Mission Ready. The participants engaged in practical activities such as marksmanship, knot tying, obstacle challenges, and first aid drills. In the evening, introspection activities, a film showing, and a fellowship night were held to enrich the participants’ mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
On the second day, participants began their day with common military routines such as the Reveille and the “Run for Kapayapaan.” This was followed by another session that reinforced the program’s values and mission through the “Peace and Development Movers” activity. Afterwards, participants joined trust-building and station-based activities designed to strengthen their core values and teamwork.
This program was spearheaded by the Local Government of Midsayap to boost the morale and strengthen the relationship between the community and the military. Truly, this event served as an essential part of the youth’s growth, offering them not only indoor and outdoor activities but also the opportunity to connect with the providers of security and enforcers of justice.
