NDMC Parenting Seminar: Understanding the Teenage Brain
On August 16, 2025, Notre Dame of Midsayap College (NDMC) held a Parenting Seminar at the Bulwagang Genoveva Deles Jaranilla with the theme “Understanding the Teenage Brain: Why They Do, What They Do.”
Ms. Elnie D. Calunsag, RPsy, RPm, CHRA, served as the resource speaker and discussed how the teenage brain develops, the challenges adolescents face, and practical strategies for parents such as open communication, setting boundaries, and guiding responsible decision-making.
The event also featured an Open Forum where parents actively participated by asking questions and sharing insights. Tokens of appreciation were given to participants, and a Certificate of Appreciation was awarded to the speaker.
Closing the program, Ms. Chinitt P. Sinco, LPT, MIB, IBED Principal, thanked parents for their involvement and encouraged them to continue supporting their children’s holistic growth.
This initiative strengthens SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being and SDG 4: Quality Education by fostering stronger school–home collaboration and equipping families with knowledge to guide teenagers effectively.
