Notre Dame Of Midsayap College Conducts Election Forum 2019

Candidate Forum 2019 at NDMC

The Notre Dame of Midsayap College (NDMC) being one of the greatest landmarks of the Municipality of Midsayap, and being true to its vision of bringing the best of Notre Dame Spirit to Asia and the rest of the world, responded to the call of service in the 2019 mid-year election. In response to this call of social responsibility, NDMC organized the Candidates Forum for Election of 2019.

            Last May 2, 2019, the Notre Dame of Midsayap of College held the Candidates Forum for the Congressional, Gubernatorial and Mayoralty Candidates for the May 13, 2019 Midterms Election at the Bulwagang Genoveva Deles Jaranilla. This event was spearheaded by the NDMC – Community Extension Services Office and in partnership with the Rotary Club of Midsayap, React Midland Group, Philippine National Police and Hukbong Katinan ng Pilipinas.

            The Registration of the event which was led by NDMC faculty and students kicked-off at 7:30 AM in the morning and ended at 9:00 AM where both NDMC Personnel, guests and supporters participated. After the long queue of people who wanted to take part in the event, everyone was encouraged to take their seat according to the party or school that they represent. The formal event started with the preliminaries, Christian and Muslim prayer, singing of the Philippine National Anthem and Midsayap Hymn. After that, Mr. Ricardo O. Quiñones, the master of ceremony during the event told the audience to be seated and hear the words of welcome of Mr. Ronniel D. Labio. He emphasized that the Midsayap voters are intelligent voters, which means that conducting and taking part in the event is essential. The COMELEC Chairperson of Midsayap also gave his words after. After the messages were given, the candidates from the different parties and positions were introduced from gubernatorial down to councilors.
