The Notre Dame of Midsayap College continues its mission of developing students to become graduates of positive difference even in the midst of pandemic and challenges of on-line learning modality.

Parents and students are in a constant frenzy these days. The former tried their very best to equip their children with tools for on-line learning, the latter dealt with what the parents can afford them the affordable gadget for e-learning.

These challenges faced by the learners in a virtual setting have been thought of by the school administration, fully noting the premise that no student be left unequipped in this very challenging mode of learning, thus the TOOLONG program was conceived and materialized.

As part of the ongoing 80 years founding anniversary celebration, 50 college students from the six departments received an ASUS Chromebook under the Tool for On-line Learners of the New Generation (TOOLONG) program.

From hundreds of applicants who sent application and proof attachments, the nominees were trimmed down in the department level. Home visit was conducted to validate the situation and felt need of the applicant of a gadget for on-line learning.

The NDMC 80th Committee finally approved the recipients from the list submitted by the respective deans. 50 students received the gadget on January 19 at the Primera Function Hall.

The awarding ceremonies started with the Opening Prayer led by Sr. Ma. Althea Mana-ay, OND-CMRE Directress. This was followed by the Words of Welcome and Overview of NDMC Toolong Project by Engr. Ronniel D. Labio, MIT-VP for Academics.

Fr. Jonathan R. Domingo, OMI-NDMC President gave his Message to the beaming recipients of the project. This was followed by the Awarding of the ASUS Chromebook by Fr. Domingo, Engr. Labio and the respective Deans.

The recipients of TOOLONG program were all grateful, excited and proud. The contents of their hearts were encapsulated in a grateful and great laden speech by the department representative.
