NDMC Holds Discussion Meeting on Internationalization and Global Rankings
In a collective effort to further enhance its global academic presence, Notre Dame of Midsayap College (NDMC), through the External Affairs Office, spearheaded a Discussion Meeting on Internationalization and Global Rankings on August 1, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the NDMC Primera Function Hall.
The activity brought together key academic leaders and regional education experts to delve into strategies that would align NDMC with global educational standards and boost its internationalization initiatives.
The event opened with a solemn prayer led by Sr. Maria Althea B. Mana-ay, OND, CMO Director, followed by inspiring welcome remarks from NDMC President, Fr. Ramon María G. Bernabe, OMI. The participants and speakers were formally introduced by Nicole C. Matulac, HRDMO Director.
The discussion meeting proper featured two key presentations from distinguished guests from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office XII.
Mr. Danstone Guy P. Dayaday, Education Supervisor II and IZN Focal, delivered the first presentation, shedding light on CHED’s thrusts and frameworks related to internationalization and the institution’s positioning in global rankings.
Following this, Mr. Janreve M. Odango, Project Technical Staff III for Transnational Higher Education, presented critical insights and strategies to support higher education institutions in navigating the complexities of transnational collaborations and global benchmarks.
The session concluded with the closing remarks from Engr. Ronniel D. Labio, MIT, Vice President for Academic Affairs, who encouraged everyone to work collectively and reminded the attendees that “NDMC is one with Region XII.”
The entire program was facilitated by Maricar C. Parreñas, LPT, MA-Engl, serving as the Program Facilitator.
