Fostering Unity and Engagement: CAS General Assembly 2025

On August 8, 2025, the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) held its General Assembly at the Bulwagang Genoveva Deles Jaranilla. The event, which ran from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM, brought together students, faculty members, and school leaders in a dynamic gathering aimed at strengthening the CAS community. With a well-structured program filled with important presentations, inspiring messages, and interactive segments, the assembly served as a meaningful kick-off for the academic year.
The event began with registration at 12:30 PM, followed by an invocation led by John Niño Capunong and Rajie Sandigan, representing both Christian and Muslim faiths.
Neil John Buendia then delivered the welcome remarks, encouraging students to embrace leadership, growth, and service. The introduction of the Local Student Government (LSG) officers followed, allowing the student body to recognize and connect with their newly appointed representatives. One of the highlights of the assembly was the presentation of the SIDLAK student coaches and the unveiling of the SIDLAK 2025 guidelines, marking the beginning of preparations for a vibrant and competitive school year ahead.
The program also featured the presentation of departmental shirts, which added a spirit of unity and identity among the students. Faculty involvement was proudly recognized through the introduction of the SIDLAK faculty coaches, while Clarez Charity P. Moskito, LPT, MATCP, led the budget presentation—ensuring transparency and understanding of how resources would be used for the benefit of all.
As the program drew to a close, Blessy Jane P. Ermeje gave the closing remarks, leaving students with words of encouragement and motivation. The event wrapped up with final reminders, ensuring that everyone was well-informed and ready for what lies ahead. Overall, the CAS General Assembly was not just a formal gathering, but a celebration of collaboration, leadership, and community spirit—an inspiring start to another promising academic year.
