St. Nicholas School and NDMC: A World of Learning Experience From the Cultural Exchange Program
What started with “What if?” three years ago has now become a trendsetting program between two nations, worthy of emulating.
The concept was the brainchild of Fr. Ronnie L. Torres, OMI – Deputy Director for Foreign Language of St. Nicholas School in Phitsanulok, Thailand. Fr. Torres proposed the idea to Fr. Jonathan R. Domingo, OMI – NDMC President, who in turn reciprocated the proposal with positivity and high regard.
The rest is history. The Visiting Student Program/ Cultural Exchange Program is now on its second year of implementation.
This Academic Year, Mrs. Ellen Delosa, MSRED – Community Extension Directress and Ms. Clarez Charity Moskito, LPT – IBED Faculty are the guardians of the twelve Grade 10 students who flew to St. Nicholas School for an 8-day Visiting Student Program/ Cultural Exchange Program. The said program aims:
1. To involve visiting students in curriculum, school policy and school events discussion.
2. To experience teaching strategies and learning process in a different environment with different culture.
3. To establish network and linkages between faculty and students of the two institutions.
4. To understand best practices of each institutions.
